Behavior Management: What a challenge!
Every classroom has a unique mix of students and an even more unique challenge to manage the behavior of those students. It has always been a challenge for me to meet students where they are and lead them to where they need to go. Student behavior can be a major obstacle during that process. I have always believed that children should not be rewarded for something they know they should do, but it seems that offering rewards seems the only way to motivate my students. What other effective methods of motivation have you incorporated?
