Some of my students were able to work on a Microsoft Photo Story project. They were able to use headsets with headphones and an attached microphone to record themselves narrating their slideshows. They were also able to add music to their presentations as well. This is one of the better photo story projects. Many of my students had previous experience using this program. This is a free program that can be downloaded from Microsoft.
